Thinking Out Loud

The Sydney Lectures in Philosophy and Society
Edited by Dimitris Vardoulakis, University of Western Sydney

The books in the series Thinking Out Loud are based on the distinguished lecture series of the same name that is held annually in Sydney, Australia. The Thinking Out Loud book and lecture series aim to address both an academic audience and an intellectually curious public. While theoretical in nature, the lectures tackle themes of significance to ask how it is possible for people to form and sustain communities. The speakers are invited to address the importance of community through philosophical reflections on a wide range of topics.

The lecture series is organized by the Philosophy Research Initiative of the University of Western Sydney in collaboration with Fordham University Press, the Radio National of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the State Library of New South Wales.
